Lavis and Mareena
Water and fire, two completely opposite elements capable to destroy each other, one with the power of canceling the other, yet so closely linked.
I imagined them with feminine features, since nature is the mother of all things, giving them the names of Mareena, guardian of waters and oceans, and Lavis, guardian of fire and heat.
An early sketch made long time ago, I still didn't have in mind a clear vision of what i wanted to do, i just got caught by the process and came up with something I wasn't really satisfied about, and so it ended up discarded.
After some time, I decided to have another try, now with improved skills and a clearer idea.
After the grey tones, I started adding some color, I already liked the way that was turning out.
Here we go, added water and fire effects, mix some adjustments layers and it's finally done! Only a few hours to complete this, and now I can say I'm satisfied.
